UNO Proud: The Privateer Ale

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the University of New Orleans (UNO) by creating their branded beer the Privateer Ale. This is an easy drinking golden ale with an ABV of 5%. This handcrafted beer is perfect for enjoying crawfish or watching the Privateers play baseball. The Privateer Ale was officially launched and at UNO's Sandbar on April 17th; cans and draft kegs will be introduced in the market by Crescent Crown Distributing for the University's Crawfish Mambo on Saturday, May 11th.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the University to support their educational mission. New Orleans is home to approximately 40,000 graduates including Second Line Brewing's Co-founder, Karen Logan, who received her MBA from UNO in May of 2005.
The University of New Orleans was founded in 1958 and was the first fully integrated public university in the South; the Unversity remains diverse and offers a wide variety of degree programs.
