How to get Success in Exams – Key Points

1. Types of questions:

Based on the level of difficulty of questions, SSC JE Exam paper may be divided into three parts as: Tier 1 : According to online help with homework experts these are the basic types of questions pertaining to the subject.

• Average candidates, who have study now and then inconsistent approach to the subjects, can solve these types of questions.

Tier 2 : These types of questions are more advanced than the Tier-1 questions. These questions test all basic as well as applied concepts of the subject.

• Candidates who have study regularly but without planning or self evaluation can solve these types of questions.

Tier 3 : According to these questions are normally more difficult and uncommon in the tests.

• Serious candidates who have study the subject in details and whose fundamentals are clear may solve these types of questions. This section creates the difference among the successful candidates and others.

2. Time Management:

Go through all questions carefully but fast. Time management is key factor for success in MCQ tests. If any question takes more time to answer, it is always better to skip the question and attempt it in second round.

Here, it may be noted that question paper-I has 200 questions and 120 minute time. On an average 36 seconds time is allotted for attempting one question.

From previous questions papers, it is observed that in the part of General Engineering i.e. Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (100 questions), approximately 25-30 questions are numerical type questions and rest are theoretical questions. Numerical type questions may take more time, hence it may be better to attempt theoretical type questions first.

Similarly, for solving the part of General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 questions) takes more time in comparison to part of General Awareness (50 questions).

Hence, according to it may be planned by aspirants that which part they should be attempt first.

3. Method of elimination

If you are not sure about the correct answer in a question it is always better to use method of elimination.

Strike out that options which seems totally out of chance and reduce the number of options. There will be more probability to choose the correct option in reduced choices.
